If you spend a lot of time using the Festool Domino or Domino XL, you've probably noticed that it's not only an extremely functional system for joinery, but it can be used to improve a project's aesthetics too with the use of through tenons. Both the Domino and Domino XL make through tenons easy to create but when it comes time to trim them flush, how do you do that quickly without damaging the surrounding work surface? We've finally created a solution to this problem: Tenon Flush Trim Protectors. 

Tenon Flush Trim Protectors are stainless steel plates, 0.020" thick that can be slipped over protruding domino tenons to protect the surrounding workpiece from damage while they are trimmed with a saw. This speeds up the process of creating through tenon joints, saving you time and money as well as making it easier to create a better final project.   

Tenon Flush Trim Protectors are available for Domino sizes 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. They come in three different types:   

Center Hole Plates: these have a single hole in the center of the plate to provide maximum protection on all sides around the tenon being cut. 

Corner Hole Plates: These plates have holes in the corners for trimming tenons in tight places, as well as a hole in the center. 

Multi Size Plates: These plates have multiple sized holes designed for a range of tenons.  There are two plates: one for the DF500 sized tenons (4mm-10mm) and one for the DF700 sized tenons "8mm to 14mm"

Currently we sell these in three sets: 

The DF 500 Set:  The perfect set for the Domino DF 500.  Includes both center and corner hole protector plates in sizes 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and also includes a DF 500 multi size plate. 

The DF 700 Set: The perfect set for the Domino XL DF 700. Includes both center and corner hole protector plates in sizes 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm asnd also includes a DF 700 multi size plate

The Complete Set: Includes center and corner plates of all sizes plus multi sized plates for both DF 500 and DF 700
