The Seneca Woodworking 6" x 4" square is the latest in our line of precision woodworking metrology tools. Designed using principles similar to those used in aerospace engineering, this square is lightweight but strong, perfect for carrying in an apron or tool belt and capable of jobs small and large. CNC machined in the USA from a solid piece of very expensive, extremely stable, cast aluminum tool plate, this square is more accurate and more durable than standard aluminum squares and will last a lifetime! 

After the main body is CNC machined from toolplate, we add two more pieces of tool plate to form the cheeks of the handle. These cheeks are attached using stainless steel dowel pins that ensure rock solid rigidity and perfect alignment.   

The blade is 1/4" thick and 1" wide. The handle has a shoulder on both the inside and outside edge, allowing the square to lay flat on the work for marking with either edge of the blade. The handle also features a 45 degree shoulder to allow marking 45 degree angles without need for a separate tool. 

We anodize the blade black with laser engraved imperial markings for easy readability, and the cheeks are anodized red to add contrast and visibility to the shoulder. Also, we've been told this just looks cool as heck!
